Our range changes frequently to bring you the best in ice cream and chocolate indulgence. Our range may vary by store depending on geographical location and store size, but is available in large supermarkets nationwide, and many Wall’s freezers in on-the-go locations. While many of our Magnum ice creams are gluten free, some are not. The most up-to-date information is available on pack in the ingredients list; however if you require more information on each of our products, please give a member of our team a call on 0800 7311507. 

Not all of our Magnum ice creams are suitable for vegetarians. Please call our careline on 0800 7311507 for a list of vegetarian-friendly ice creams.

Each product has a different composition, which explains the variance in weight.

Magnum Almond contains almonds which increases the total weight of the product.

For Magnum Classic and Magnum White, different chocolates are used so they behave in different ways during the production, hence the different final product weight.

Yes, the vanilla extract we use in our natural vanilla flavor is made from sustainably grown Madagascan vanilla beans, rainforest alliance certified.

Unlike other commodities vanilla is not grown on plantations, all our vanilla is grown on vines alongside a tutor that supports the vanilla vines. The Madagascan vanilla cultivation has been optimised over the years from generation to generation to craft the best quality vanilla.

Yes, 100% of the cocoa is sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms in the Magnum ice creams. Read here more about Rainforest Alliance Certified farms™.

Currently none of our Magnum ice cream products are Halal certified. However, we do work with the GMWA, supplying product information to them, in order for the GMWA to determine whether our products can be consumed by Muslims. This is purely the opinion of the GMWA and not the opinion of Unilever UK and Ireland. We hope that by working with the GMWA Muslim consumers can make an informed decision about our products. Ruby couverture chocolate is made with ‘Ruby’ Cocoa beans using a unique processing to unlock the flavour and colour tone of the Ruby bean. The unique crafting process unlocks the naturally present berry flavour and unique pink colour tone. It creates a new dimension of taste in this chocolate which is free from artificial colours and berry flavours.

Yes, Ruby is known as a couverture chocolate. Couverture is a term for chocolates which are rich in cocoa butter; these are often used by gourmet chocolate brands for confectionary products and by pastry chefs and chocolatiers as an ingredient.

As the world’s authority on pleasure, Magnum believes that a day without pleasure is a day lost. We conducted research into the struggles previous Veganuary participants had during the challenge, so that we could ensure this year, we helped participants stay on track and enjoy a moment of pleasure with the new Magnum Vegan Sea Salt Caramel.

Our research found that 9 in 10 previous Veganuary participants had struggled during the challenge, even those that had completed it, with over two fifths (42%) citing craving sweet treats and indulgent foods as a reason. As such, we launched the Veganuary Pleasure Measure to track these moments that participants may struggle and reward the nation a moment of pleasure when it is needed most. 

A digital mood board designed to react to the nation’s need for pleasure. The online tool will measure Brits’ Veganuary ups and downs – and serve up special discounts on Magnum Vegan ice cream when the tracker shows a dose of pleasure is most needed to combat the nation’s struggles. As pleasure goes down, the special discounts on Magnum Vegan ice cream go up.  

How does it work?
The Veganuary Pleasure Measure is an online tracker that consumers can access throughout the month of January on the Magnum ice cream website www.magnumicecream.com/uk/home/veganuary.html. The tracker has been designed to determine the level of pleasure of the nation on that day, through social listening, revealing the moments in which pleasure is needed most. It is at these moments we will be releasing vouchers for discounts on Magnum Vegan ice creams, in order to keep consumers on track with Veganuary. 

The Veganuary Pleasure Measure will track different vegan mentions and conversations online, all based from our Veganuary research. It will then analyse and calculate the level of pleasure in the UK, so that once pleasure dips to a certain level, Magnum can offer discounts on the full Magnum Vegan range in order to keep consumers on track with their Veganuary goals.   

The different measures will include:
- #MagnumVeganTracker mentions - The higher the usage, the higher the discount
- Vegan treats search volumes on Google - The higher the searches the greater the discount.
- “Veganuary” sentiment tracking on social media - % decrease in positive Veganuary sentiment, the higher the discount.
- “Vegan” and "Veganuary" on social media - The greater the decrease in mentions, the higher the discount.

The research looked into the key challenges consumer face when it comes to completing Veganuary. Of the respondents (91%) that struggled with Veganuary, 45% found it was the feelings of accomplishment that kept them going, while over two fifths (43%) found it was the good vegan alternatives.

Further key findings include:
- Missing sweet treats and indulgence
42% craved sweet treats and indulgent foods 
15% did not find Vegan food enjoyable
- Practical struggles with the switch
44% found vegan food more expensive
Just under 1/4 found it hard to make or access vegan food
- External factors
23% found cold weather impacted their choices
1/5 found friends, family or colleagues did not understand

As the new Magnum Vegan Sea Salt Caramel launches in January, we wanted to create a campaign that not only heroes the new product, but also Veganuary, which we know many of our Magnum Vegan consumers will be participating in this year.

Based on our research we know that the 15th January to 23rd January is when many Veganuary participants struggle with the challenge, with 47% citing a craving for sweet treats and indulgent foods as a reason for this. As such, we wanted to launch a campaign that helped them stick to their Veganuary pledge. 

The below discounts will be offered at different times of the months depending on the Pleasure Measure scale.

Consumers will be able to access the Veganuary Pleasure Measure throughout the whole of January 2021 on the Magnum ice cream website www.magnumicecream.com/uk/veganuary.html. To ensure as many people as possible can receive a moment of pleasure, vouchers will only be able to be redeemed once. Different voucher codes will be available throughout January and so you will have the choice to cash out when you think you have the best discount available. Though of course, if pleasure dips at a later date, there may be a bigger discount available, so fans need to choose carefully.
