MAGNUM & TRESemmé Fashion-Forward Partnership

This year the fashion elite got a taste of what it truly means to be indulgent. On September 10th, 2016, Magnum’s home in the big apple, the deliciously decadent MAGNUM New York was transformed into an elite backstage area for Rebecca Minkoff’s Fall 2016 New York Fashion Week Show. Fierce, daring and original—Rebecca’s designs mirror the stylish and luxurious spirit of Magnum, making this collaboration as perfectly fitted as haute couture.

On hand to complete this fashion-forward partnership was TRESemmé‘s lead stylist Jeanie Syfu and her team of professional stylists. Amongst the glamour and clamour of a bustling Fashion Week show, they styled top influencers and models with dynamic looks, ready to showcase Rebecca’s incredible Fall collection right out on SoHo’s famous Greene Street. In a fashion first, Rebecca closed off the entire street and used it as a real world runway for her striking new collection.

To mark this exciting collaboration in a fittingly indulgent manner, TRESemmé and Magnum designed a custom ice cream bar inspired by Rebecca’s new collection—a one-off creation to go alongside this one-off fashion show. For this bespoke Magnum moment, we took a vanilla ice cream bar, dipped it in Belgian dark chocolate, then sprinkled on midnight black pearls, melt in your mouth Greek yogurt buttons, velvety blush blossom curls and exotic Hawaiian black lava sea salt. Finally, before adding the pièce de résistance, our chocolate M coin, we delicately drizzled white chocolate over the entire bar for an extra layer of temptation.

“We loved collaborating with Magnum and TRESemmé on this one-of-a-kind partnership…and the decadent Magnum bar inspired by my Fall 2016 New York Fashion Week Show and TRESemmé was such a treat!” said Rebecca Minkoff.

And with as tempting a treat as this, New York’s best and brightest fashionistas were bound to make an appearance. We invited influential bloggers Lovely Pepa and Sarah Angius to stop by and give into temptation with Rebecca’s specially designed Magnum. Bringing an air of effortless chic to the occasion, they both looked stunning in Rebecca Minkoff’s latest creations—Sarah opting for the oh-so-cute (yet sexy and romantic) Brindle dress, while Lovely Pepa channeled her inner prairie princess in the floral, ankle-length Cara dress. It wasn’t just these two indulging a Magnum moment, there were even a couple of a times when the models slipped away from their prep station to grab one of the delicious bars—well, they are only human.
