OUR COMMITMENT TO COCOA AND VANILLA SOURCING
Our sourcing strategy for cocoa and vanilla
We purchase cocoa and vanilla from Rainforest Alliance certified farms. These farms follow strict standards and support farming practices that protect forests, conserve biodiversity, and improve soil health, while supporting farming communities.
We follow a mass balance approach for cocoa. This means that, while RFA certified cocoa is mixed with non-certified cocoa during processing, we do buy a quantity of RFA certified cocoa equivalent to the quantity needed to make our products.
By maintaining Rainforest Alliance Certification, our icecreams contain cocoa that supports responsible sourcing.
Farmer training for consistent excellence
Through RFA certification and Vanilla for Change impact program, Magnum helps provide consistent training for framers in climate smart agriculture techniques and quality control.

Community Investment for Empowering Women in Cocoa Farming
We are proud of our AWA by Magnum program, which has been providing socio-economic support to women in cocoa farming communities in Côte d'Ivoire since 2020. Through AWA, we have directly impacted over 4000 women and their families, empowering them to reinvest in their households and communities. This initiative not only strengthens local livelihoods but also helps ensure a stable supply of premium-quality cocoa for our ice cream. Building on AWA’s success, we remain committed to work closely with our partners to continue expand and amplify The Magnum Ice Cream Company cocoa impact programs.
